Forest of Dean Levels Competition

Sunday 8th October,  Girls from Cotswolds entered the County Levels competition at Forest of Dean Gymnastics Centre. Annabel Tudor, Laura Hallett, Charlotte Hawksbee, Lara Oodian, Annabel Skinner and Georgina Hiscock all competed 4 piece (floor, Vault, Bars & Beam) at Levels 6 and 5 in their age groups. Well done to everyone who competed. There were medals on Floor, Vault and on Beam! More photos and the Competition Report to follow..

Coaches Development Day..

...  Before we started the autumn term the coaching team attended a Circus skills workshop.  The workshop was led by Juan Herrera a leading teacher in Circus theatre. All of the coaches new and old attended giving them the opportunity to relax, work together to solve problems (how do I juggle!) and have some fun.  It was also a good lesson in how effective coaching engages your audience and helps them learn and have fun.

SJP make a start on BAGA Awards

Head Coach Claire Marriott turned a team building event into a gymnastics training session! She coached her colleagues through BAGA Badge number 8 and presented them with their Certificates and Badges.

I've been assured, they didn't wear high heels and did perform the moves.
Well done ladies.
