What to expect
This is a seated event with a showcase of routines from every session running at Cotswold Gymnastics Club. From Under 5's to.. well.. over 50's!
We'll have choreographed floor routines, Trampette and Vault, there will be music, maybe even costumes and accessories. We'll feature an ALL NEW equipment section showing you a part of training you don't normally see - Asymmetric bars, Balance beam and for the first time ever mushroom / pommel horse work. We may even have time for a hastily rehearsed coaches routine. Gymnasts will get to watch the show while they wait their turn. Routines will last 3-7 minutes and we're proud to offer everyone a chance to perform.
Raffle & Coffee Shop
If you can bring a raffle prize - bottles, food, gifts or cakes for the coffee shop to sell at the event, that would be much appreciated. You can bring them to us at gym on Saturday or drop them off with your gymnast at registration. We hire in a full size sprung floor at considerable expense and would like to cover this and raise some funds to put back into the club!
There will be 2 shows. The AM (morning) performance time is 09:00am - 12:00pm. The PM (afternoon) performance time is 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Gymnasts in the AM performance need to register between 08:30 - 08:45am
Gymnasts in the PM performance need to register between 1:00 - 1:15pm
Please register at the double doors next to the Atrium using the entrance from the Tennis courts as used when coming to normal training sessions.
All gymnasts will be asked to leave the premises in between displays so that the coaches and events team can take a break and reset for the afternoon performance.
Same as last year, parents, family and friends with tickets will be asked to queue on the other side of the atrium using the entrance to the DT block. There is a concourse section we can use meaning spectators don't have to wait outside if it's cold or wet! There will be signage.
At the end of the display, if you have been watching the event, we ask that only one person from your party comes back to collect your gymnast. The gymnasts will be kept in the gym with their chaperones until someone has come through to collect them. We are operating a one-way system through the atrium and gym this year so please follow the signs to help this happen smoothly.
If you haven’t been at the display please come into the atrium through the usual gym door and follow the procedure about how to collect your gymnast. The morning session will be finished by 12:30pm and the afternoon by 4:30pm.
There are female, male and unisex disabled toilets available. The coffee shop will be selling hot and cold drinks, cakes, biscuits and a tuck shop selling various snacks.
Gymnasts need to bring their own snacks for the interval as they are asked to remain with their groups in the gymnasium.
Please make sure that your gymnast has a drink and snack for the interval as they will remain in the gym at this time.
This year the display times have been set to allow all gymnasts, who participate in both displays, to have enough time to leave Deer Park for lunch before they need to return for the afternoon session. We really appreciate your support in this as we need to reset the Atrium and the Sports Hall for the afternoon display.
All gymnasts should wear their red leotards and black shorts for the display unless told otherwise by their coaches.
Want to volunteer on the day? We need a small army of helpers to cover lots of tasks from selling tea & coffee, chaperoning the gymnasts, to setting out chairs and assembling the 12m sq sprung floor! If you are able to help in any way please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch. We will be in the atrium all day Saturday or you can e-mail email@example.com
