We're a recreational, all inclusive gymnastics club based in the capital of the Cotswolds in Cirencester.

We have over 400 active members with sessions running on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening as well as all day Saturday.

We successfully enter competitions all over the county and in the south west region as well as the British Adults Championships. These comps include floor, vault, bars, beam and more. We hold our own club championships each year which all club members are invited to enter.

The Coaches and gymnasts together create intricate routines to music and showcase them at gym festivals such as Gym Fusion.  Our coaches support the local community in schools, sports club and helping the elderly & disabled by delivering gymnastics.

As a charity, the club supports local events including school fetes, family fun days and once a year we show friends and family what we do with a Christmas Display!

We can teach you to Round off, flic, somersault and handspring. There's more equipment time and more time to perfect your floor skills with the opportunity to enter various competitions throughout the year.

Recreational
Our most popular session type, typically 1 hour a week, we include games to warm up, stretching to help mobility and flexibility. Development of motor skills and co-ordination. We work floor skills such as cartwheels and handstands and combining moves. We use different kit each week - vault, ropes, trampettes, blocks, beams... Learning gymnastics with some fun!

FUNdamentals
For Pre-school age (under 5's) we invite children and parents into one of two 45 minute sessions on a Saturday morning with emphasis on sights, sounds, movements and co-ordination with our soft play equipment and hand apparatus. Each session has a theme letting your child's imagination take over. A trip to the seaside, a day at the farm, play in the park, let's go shopping.... They'll roll and jump and balance, learning the basic skills for a fantastic start in gymnastics.

Freestyle (FreeG)
Do you know your PK roll from your Kong Vault? Your B Twist from your Scoot?! This ever popular session draws on free-running, parkour, martial arts and break dancing. We have parkour blocks, wedges and stackable objects with expert advice and supervision for these creative sessions. It's about flips, kicks, spins.... getting through, over or under obstacles... this is a fusion of gymnastics like you've never seen. We have an under 13's and an over 13's session, both currently all boys.

History

Founded by Irene Gilchrist in 1984 with 20 or so gymnasts, our journey started at Kingshill School and the focus was on artistic gymnastics.  Our gymnasts were soon entering competitions against Tetbury, Fromeside and Forest of Dean. Producing gymnasts who went on to regional success representing the South West.

We outgrew the gymnasium and moved to Deer Park School in 2004 where we rapidly grew to over 400 active members with over 20 coaches, training 4 days a week. We now regularly run 2 full sessions concurrently across all ages and doing more styles of gymnastics than ever before from preschool to adults, freestyle to cheerleading!
