Cotswold Gymnastics Club is a friendly recreational gymnastics
club for all ages and abilities, ranging from pre-school to adult. The club has been established for 30 years and trains at
Deer Park School in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, currently having more than 350 active members. A wide range of gymnastics
disciplines are offered, including women’s artistic, men’s artistic, pre-school, FreeG, MYClub, choreography, general gymnastics
and has recently registered for ‘I’m In’. Our ethos is to increase access to
gymnastics for adults and children of all ages and ability, across multiple disciplines, satisfying the demand we have
in the local area "making gymnastics fun for all”.
Cotswold Gymnastics Club celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2014 and has an extremely exciting opportunity which will be a huge
benefit to the club and all our gymnasts. After many years of searching, Cotswold Gymnastics Club has found a potential unit which we
would like to become our dedicated premise and home of Cotswold Gymnastics Club. Having our own premise will allow the club to provide
more sessions, offer places to those on our huge waiting list, increase gymnastics disciplines and have the latest range of equipment
available. It will also mean all our core equipment will be permanent fixtures, not requiring setup and take down for sessions. The
unit will be in Cirencester and we will share more details with you shortly.
To achieve this opportunity, the club needs to raise a minimum of £175,000 to fund the move, purchase equipment and set up of the new
premise. We are already in the process of applying for grants to part-fund this project but we will also need to raise a significant
amount of the money ourselves, this proving our commitment. If any parent is aware of grants of any size, that we may be eligible for,
please let the club committee know.
It is not only funding that will make this move to our own premise successful, we are also seeking sponsorship from local companies
and will need support from tradesmen and volunteers when everything goes ahead. If you or your company are able to help out in any
way please let the club committee know.
With an increased focus on achieving this goal, we are setting up a fundraising committee to assist the Club in the application of
grants, identifying sources of funding and organising numerous events throughout the year. We are looking for more volunteers to join
the fundraising committee to help plan and organise fundraising activities, along with a fundraising chairperson to develop and lead
the execution of our fundraising strategy. If you have what it takes to chair this team, are interested in being on the committee or
helping in any way, please email email@example.com
We have plans afoot for all members, families and friends to celebrate our 30th year, with some of our fundraising effort being centred
around this special anniversary. There are already many fundraising initiatives planned over the coming months, so please look out
for them and support as much as possible in any way that you can.
We look forward to your support in achieving this exciting opportunity together and taking part in the opening of the new Cotswolds
Don't forget: The club's AGM is on Friday 21st March at 8pm in the Deer Park School atrium. We will be highlighting the progress and
achievements of the club over the last 12 months and future plans, as well as addressing the club's constitution. It will be an
exciting opportunity for the club to share a presentation on the premises and fundraising requirements recently communicated out. If
you have what it takes to join our committee or fundraising team, or would just like to see the clubs plans, please come along and
support us. We look forward to seeing you.
Please remember that any second installment for fee payments for Jan-Apr 2014 term are due by 10th March.

We are still searching for our own premises and need 3500sqft+. If you have any ideas contact
one of the coaches.
WE REMIND PARENTS THAT IT IS IMPORTANT THAT CHILDREN ARE PICKED UP ON TIME FROM THEIR SESSION. THERE HAVE BEEN
SEVERAL OCCASIONS RECENTLY WHERE PARENTS HAVE BEEN LATE IN COLLECTING THEIR CHILDREN. IT IS A CLEAR REQUIREMENT
OF OUR POLICIES THAT YOUR CHILD SHOULD BE COLLECTED FROM THE GYM ON TIME, COACHES ARE UNABLE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
FOR YOUR CHILD OUTSIDE SESSION TIMES.
Please can you ensure any money that comes into the gym for Tickets, badges certificates etc comes in an
envelope with details of what it is for. THANK YOU.
