CLUB COMPETITION 2007

The annual Club Competition took place on Sunday 20th May and what a fabulous day it was. The sun was shining, the gymnasts performed well and remembered their routines. The girls competed on the floor, vault and beam; with the boys showing their skills on floor, vault and trampet.

Gymnasts competed in age and ability groups, with place certifcates for the individual pieces of apparatus and medals awarded for the overall 1st,2nd & 3rd. This meant there was plenty of opportunities for all the gymnasts and there were many smiling faces as a result. A particular favourite was new starter, Ellie, jumping up in delight when her name was called out and shouting "Thats me!"

WELL DONE to all the gymnasts who competed.

A big thank you to everyone who supported in lots of ways; from the many cakes given, the great array of raffle prizes donated, the stall holders, the parents who manned the refreshments, parents/helpers who accompanied groups around the gym, the scorers, the announcers, the judges & coaches, everyone who came and watched - hopefully we haven't missed anyone !!

We raised just over £400 from the day and this will start the funds being raised towards the purchase of a vaulting table. Again THANK YOU to everyone.

• Photos of the winners are displayed on the Club Notice board on the wall at the entrance to the atrium. These can be purchased for £2.00. Please put in a named envelope along with the photo required and give to Karen
